Welcome to Tempe Public Library's MyLibraryDV!
MyLibraryDV is a free video-on-demand service with which you can
access hundreds of hours of quality programming such as cooking with
America’s Test Kitchen, travel with Rick Steves’ Europe, learning about
collectibles with Antiques Roadshow, classic and independent films, and
more.
Because of limited internet bandwidth,
MyLibraryDV is not currently available from computers in the Library, on
the library wireless network, or at the Escalante and North Tempe
Centers.
MyLibraryDV is designed for users with broadband internet connections
(such as cable or DSL). Dial-up internet connections will not support
the high volume of data streaming required to use this service.
- The first necessary step in viewing MyLibraryDV video content is
to have a current Tempe
Public Library card and a library account in good standing.
- The second step is to install the MyLibraryDV download manager
onto your computer. This software is an add-on to Windows Media
Player. For the MyLibraryDV download manager to operate, you must
have FlashPlayer 9 and Windows Media Player 10 already installed on
your computer. The download manager only needs to be installed once.
After you install the MyLibraryDV download manager, a shortcut to the
software will appear on your desktop. An icon will also be placed in
your system tray. (If you do not want to keep the icon in the system
tray, right-click on the icon and choose "Exit.") For all further use of
the MyLibraryDV service, you will only need to start the program by
using the desktop shortcut.
For further information
about the MyLibraryDV service or player, see the MLDV FAQ page.
