Tempe Police - Criminal Investigations Bureau

After approximately two years with the Tempe Police Department Officers are eligible to test for the Criminal Investigations Bureau (C.I.B.).  Detectives assigned to C.I.B. can specialize in Homicide, Sex/Child Crimes, Robbery, Property Crimes, Auto Theft, Document Crimes, Juvenile, Computer Forensics or other areas.

Detectives are responsible for handling investigations including working with the City Attorney's Office, County Attorney's Office or the State Attorney General's Office.  Once assigned to C.I.B.
