Public Works Street Maintenance Section

About Us

The Street Maintenance section is responsible for the maintenance of City streets,  alleys, sidewalks, and storm drains.  Street Maintenance maintains approximately 1,241 lane miles of streets within the City limits.  This maintenance includes flood control, asphalt pothole patching, pavement maintenance/management, street sweeping, right of way maintenance, including graffiti removal and concrete curb, gutter and sidewalk repair and replacement. 

Additional responsibilities include CIP (capital improvement projects) project management/contract administration of annual street maintenance programs, including major and local street renovation and minor concrete improvements, and street repair.
